History obligates - since 1909

Established by the brothers Peter and Rudolf Böhling as "Broth. Böhling, Copper forge" located in the district Steinwerder in the harbour of Hamburg, the Böhling Rohrleitungs- und Apparatebau GmbH provides more than 100 years of experience in metal work. In the beginning products have been copper work for shipyards and export as well as apparatus for ships and oil mills.

Patent Nr. B 367518 was applied by Rudolf Böhling to produce tubular bends and coils using the method of the 'Hamburger Rohrbogen'. Incorporation of the "The Tubular Bend Enterprise Böhling & Co." together with Klaus Böhling. The production site was then moved to Ahrensburg near Hamburg to produce elbows and other fittings in accordance to the patented method. After more than 60 years the company was sold in 1978 and then closed shortly after this. The area is used for culture activities this days.

Rudolf Böhling, son of Peter Böhling sen., entered the company management as authorised signatory.

Factory premises, workshops and offices have become too small, so a new still actual production site was build in Hamburg Rothenburgsort. The piping construction was splitted of to become Böhling Rohrleitungsbau GmbH.

After getting destroyed in the year of 1943 and full disassembly after end of war an export order to the portuguese island São Thomé in the golf of Guinea layed the cornerstone for the commercial success in the 1960's and 1970's.

Celebration of the 50-year anniversary of the Böhling Rohrleitungs- und Apparatebau GmbH.

Introducing modern manufacturing and welding techniques like the tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding or the gas metal arc welding (MAG). New branches have been established in Hannover, Velber, Karlsruhe and Munich.

Peter Böhling, the actual company owner takes over the enterprise and continuously expandes the business segments to nuclear and conventional power plants, renewable energy and the heavy industry.

Celebration of the 100-year anniversary of the Böhling Rohrleitungs- und Apparatebau GmbH together with the family, clients, suppliers and employees in Hamburg.

With more than 19 trainees Böhling Rohrleitungs- und Apparatebau GmbH provides career perspectives for young people in metal working. Introduction of modern planning and manufacturing techniques like laser assisted survey of existing plants as well as 3D CAD pipework planning software underline the modern standards.
